Current Board Members
Lane County Cultural Coalition is comprised of 12 members: two from each of the five County Districts (West Lane, East Lane, Springfield, North Lane, and South Lane), one member from Lane Arts Council (LAC), and one member-at-large. LCCC selects new Coalition members as current member terms expire or as vacancies arise.
Susy Lacer owns a grant consulting business and holds the GPC (Grant Professional Certified) credential. She has lived in Florence since 2006 where she is an active community builder. Current volunteer activities include: Siuslaw Public Library, Florence Master Recyclers, Siuslaw Vision, and Florence Urban Renewal Agency. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, gardening, and reading.
Patrick has a masters degree in music and has performed as a vocal soloist, chorus member, and/or conductor around the USA, including locally with the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene Symphony, and Eugene Concert Choir. He is currently the Executive Director of Eugene's Community Center for the Performing Arts, better known as the WOW Hall. He has previously been on the staff of the Bach Festival, as well as the San Francisco Symphony, Carnegie Hall, and other arts institutions. He also served for a time as a donor relations officer at Oregon Community Foundation, where he helped connect hundreds of donors with grantseekers around the state. He lives in the Whiteaker neighborhood of Eugene.
Jessica Ruth Baker holds a BFA in acting and a BA in scenic and costume design from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, as well as a master's degree in nonprofit management with a graduate certificate in arts management from the University of Oregon. Her service includes previous staff roles at Oregon Contemporary Theatre and Very Little Theatre, and she has been on the board of directors for Creswell Chamber of Commerce since 2022. Jessica currently works as the managing director of Radiant Community Arts this fall. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading sci-fi novels, and gaming. She is committed to strengthening Lane County's cultural landscape, especially in our rural communities.
Talicia grew up in San Jose, CA, and moved to Portland to attend Reed College. After receiving her degree, she ran nature outing programs for youth and the free medical clinic at Outside In. Talicia started and ran the drop-in program for teens at Peterson Barn Community Center before leaving youth services to begin her business, Harmony Massage. She was thrown back into the world of social justice work in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd. Talicia created The Black Cultural Initiative to provide community and connection within the local Black community through programs like The Black Cultural Festival and the People’s Collective, Lane County’s first Black community center and business incubator. She also is leading a project to erect a large bronze statue for the first pioneering Black families who once lived at what is now called Alton Baker Park. Talicia has served on the Mayor of Eugene’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Economic Development and was awarded the NAACP’s inaugural Dallas Boggs Community Connector Award. In her free time, she enjoys traveling around the world with her husband and daughter, snorkeling, and camping in the woods. Talicia is a woman of faith and serves humbly.
Dana Abel is a musician, performer, teacher, parent and small-business owner. She was born and raised in Lane County and has lived in Eugene for over 40 years. As a founding member of the musical quartet Misty River, Dana released five albums and toured the U.S. and abroad. She served as the executive director for the Oregon Children’s Choir and worked in grant writing and development at non-profit organizations. Dana holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute (now OHSU) and a B.S. from Stanford University. She believes a region rich in arts and cultural opportunities improves the quality of life for its residents and makes Lane County a vibrant place to work, visit and live.
